Privacy Policy

Who We Are and Who This Applies To

Alignment Therapies LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”), doing business as Aligned Energy, is located at 3616 Grandview St., Gig Harbor, WA 98335.

This policy applies to consumers who are Washington residents, and to consumers whose consumer health data is collected in Washington, as those terms are used in the My Health My Data Act.

We are not a HIPAA-covered entity and the information described here is not protected health information under HIPAA.

Categories of Consumer Health Data We Collect, and Why

We collect the following categories of consumer health data, for the purposes described:

• Self-reported physical and mental health status. Responses you give in The Initiation Map quiz, intake forms, and in the course of sessions — for example fatigue, sleep, stress, grief, emotional state, physical pain or tension. Purpose: to return your quiz result, to prepare for and deliver energy healing and coaching sessions, and to decide whether our services are appropriate for you.
• Inferences drawn about your health status. The stage result our quiz calculates from your answers is an inference about your physical and emotional state. Purpose: to show you your result and to send you educational material relating to it.
• Bodily functions, vital signs and symptoms you choose to tell us about before or during a session. Purpose: to deliver the service safely and appropriately.
• Health-related interventions and services sought or received — the sessions, programs and services you book, purchase or enquire about with us. Purpose: to provide and administer those services.
• Precise location information. We do not collect precise location information that could reasonably indicate your attempt to acquire or receive health services or supplies.

We collect only what is necessary for these purposes. We will not collect, use or share consumer health data for any purpose not described in this policy without first disclosing that purpose to you and obtaining your consent.

Sources We Collect It From

• Directly from you — quiz answers, forms on our website, intake and consent forms, email, telephone, and what you tell us during a session.
• Automatically from your device when you use our website, where that information is used to make an inference about your health status — for example which health-related pages you view.
• From our service providers acting on our behalf, such as our scheduling, forms and customer relationship management platforms.

We do not purchase consumer health data from data brokers or other third-party sources.

Categories of Consumer Health Data We Share

We share the following categories of consumer health data, only as necessary to operate our practice:

• Self-reported physical and mental health status, and inferences drawn from it, with the platforms that host our forms, quiz and email system, because that data is stored there.
• Health-related services sought or received, with our scheduling and payment providers, in order to book and bill for them.

We do not sell consumer health data. We have not sold consumer health data and we do not intend to. If that ever changes, we will obtain your valid written authorization first, separately from any other consent, as the Act requires.

We do not use consumer health data for targeted advertising and we do not share it with advertising platforms.

Categories of Third Parties and Affiliates We Share It With

• Customer relationship, forms and email platform — hosts our website forms, quiz submissions, contact records and email communications. Currently: HighLevel, Inc. (GoHighLevel).
• Scheduling providers — used to book calls and sessions. Currently: Calendly, LLC.
• Payment processors — used to take payment for services. They receive the service purchased, not your health responses.
• Video conferencing provider — used to deliver remote sessions and classes. Currently: Zoom Communications, Inc.
• Professional advisers — our accountants and lawyers, where reasonably necessary.
• Legal and safety disclosures — where we are required to by law, or where necessary to protect someone’s safety.

We have no affiliates with whom we share consumer health data.

Your Rights

Under the My Health My Data Act you have the right to:

1. Confirm whether we are collecting, sharing or selling your consumer health data, and to access that data.
2. Receive a list of all third parties and affiliates with whom we have shared or sold your consumer health data, together with an active email address or other online means of contacting them.
3. Withdraw your consent to our collection and sharing of your consumer health data.
4. Have your consumer health data deleted, including from our archived and backup systems.
5. Appeal a refusal to act on any of the above.

Exercising these rights costs you nothing and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

How to Exercise Your Rights

Email us at [email protected] with the words Consumer Health Data Request in the subject line, and tell us which right you wish to exercise. You may also write to us at 3616 Grandview St., Gig Harbor, WA 98335.

We will need to verify that the request comes from you, and we may ask you for information to do that. We will use that information only to verify your identity.

We will respond within 30 days of receiving your request. If we need longer, we will tell you within those 30 days why, and how much additional time we need.

Withdrawing consent. You may withdraw consent at any time using the email address above. Withdrawal applies going forward and does not affect processing already carried out.

Deletion. When you ask us to delete your consumer health data, we will delete it from our records and our backup and archived systems, and we will notify all third parties and affiliates with whom we have shared it of your deletion request.

Appeals

If we refuse to act on your request, we will tell you why, and we will give you instructions for appealing that decision. To appeal, reply to our response or email [email protected] with Consumer Health Data Appeal in the subject line.

We will respond to an appeal in writing within 45 days, explaining the reasons for our decision. If we deny the appeal, we will provide you with a method to contact the Washington State Attorney General to submit a complaint.

Geofencing

We do not use, and will not use, a geofence around any facility that provides in-person health care services.

Changes to This Policy

If we make a material change to this policy, we will notify you and obtain your consent before applying that change to consumer health data we already hold.
